Apple Distinguished Educator

The Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE) program is a relationship program focused on educational excellence and leadership. ADEs are part of a global community of education leaders recognised for doing amazing things with Apple technology in and out of the classroom. They explore new ideas, seek new paths, and embrace new opportunities. That includes working with each other and with Apple to bring the freshest, most innovative ideas to learners everywhere. Being part of the ADE community is much more than an honor—it’s an opportunity to make a difference.

November 2012 saw the opening of the applications to Apple for their Distinguished Educator program, Class of 2013. This global application process required a written application which discussed a journey of introducing Apple technology in an educational setting and reflecting on the impact this had on teaching and learning. The second part of the application showcased this in a 2 minute video.

From around 9000 global applications, Marc was handpicked to join the program of 2000 Apple Distinguished Educators and he travelled to Cork, Ireland to meet the Class of 2013 for a week long training institute with Apple.
